Names (left to right):Victoria, Nikolai, Bryan and Tim Berge
Where photo taken: Freedom Trail, Boston
Best meal: Lobster roll at the Tavern Pub, Colonial Inn, Concord, Massachusetts.
Best deal:The Colonial Inn in Concord. The inn is has been open since 1716. The rooms in the main inn and in the new addition (1970's) are comfortable and charming. The inn features great dining and a colonial tavern with live music. Our four night stay was very affordable and included a full breakfast daily. Minute Man Historical Park and Walden Pond are short walks. Boston is minutes away, by car or train (Concord to Boston North Station).
Best time to go:We went the last week of July. Boston and Cambridge were crowded , but Concord was quiet and relaxed. I would like to see Walden Pond in autumn.
Best travel tip:Ride the tourist trolleys in Boston. You can get off and on at any stop throughout the day, and the ticket includes a Boston Harbor cruise. We bought our tickets at North Station.
