Names (left to right): Stephanie and Steve Hron of Larkspur
Where photo taken: Entrance Gate to Denali National Park and Preserve
Best meal: McKinley Princess Lodge offers a great menu with the backdrop of Mt. McKinley towering 20,320 feet above sea level.
Best deal: Denali Natural History Tour. Since private automobiles are not allowed in the park, this is a great way to sample the over 6 million acres of beauty.
Best time to go: Summer Months although June and July will provide the most day light.
Best travel tip: Take the Denali Natural History Tour in the evening as you will have a better chance to view amazing wild life at that time such as grizzly bears, caribou, wolves, Dall sheep, moose and of course a view of of the tallest mountain in North AmericaI. Also, keep in mind it is summer, but it's Alaska. You will likely encounter cool weather and some rainy days. Bring layers and rain coat.
