Names (left to right): Melissa Graham, David Pearson

Where photo taken: This photo was taken in Ostersund Sweden while Melissa and I were celebrating our engagement and researching our August wedding.

Best meal: Swedish Meatballs of course. The Hilton in Stockholm has fantastic Swedish Meatballs, but they did not match the homemade ones that were made for us in the Northern part of the Country.

Best deal: Although it was extremely cold, the best deal you can take advantage of is to go to the country in the winter. Flights, hotel and car rentals are so much more reasonable, and the country is still beautiful even in the winter.

Best time to go: Although more expensive, July and August are the ideal months to visit, as you can take advantage of mild summers, and increased daylight.

Best travel tip: I have read several ariticles in regards to jet lag, and have truly come to believe that 90% of it is mental. Before you leave, set your clock to the time of the destination country. Sleep on the flight, and when you wake up, live with the new time, and dont think about adjusting. Dont take a nap in the middle of the day to try and adjust, dont remind yourself what time it is back home, just go with the new time. It makes a big difference.
