Names (left to right): John & Sally Odenheimer
Where photo taken: Monteverde, Costa Rica - on the tram heading up to a six-mile series of zip lines
Best meal: Fonda Vela Hotel in Monteverde - the Tilapia was excellent. Also, NeNe's restaurant in La Fortuna near Arenal was very good and pretty inexpensive.
Best deal: Have some Ceviche wherever you go. It's good just about anywhere in Costa Rica.
Best time to go: We went in February which is the "dry" season - like anything is "dry" in the cloud forest or rain forest. However, in the Guanacaste region, some roads are impassible in the "rainy" season.
Best travel tip: Have a driver take you from point A to point B. Some of the roads in Costa Rica are pretty much equivalent to what we would call a four-wheel-drive road in Colorado. And most roads are not marked! But the local drivers know where to turn.
