Niels Oomkes

Where photo taken:
At the Finish of the 2009 Cozumel Ironman.

Best meal:
We truly enjoyed our All Inclusive meals at the Wyndham Resort and Spa. There was always an authentic meal on the menu.

Best deal:
Island Marketing ltd provided our family with an amazing Private Tulum Mayan Riviera Excursion. Our private driver "The Owl" offered us an unforgettable experience: teaching us about the Mayan history while taking us around the Mayan Ruins and offering us a private tour of the local areas surrounding Playa del Carmen including the Xcacel Cenotes and Turtle Beaches.

Best time to go:
The months of February and March, with moderate heat and low rainfall, are the favorite months for tourists to visit the Riviera Maya. Heavy rainfall makes September through November the least favorite months. Although we went at the end of November and had great weather with few rain showers.

Best travel tip:
Exchange your US dollars to pesos as it is actually much cheaper to pay in pesos.
If you enjoy Scuba Diving, then Cozumel is a place where every dive is a scuba divers dream.
The Cozumel Ironman is well worth registering for with its crystal clear swim and spectator friendly course.
